Terms of Service

These terms cover the GameClip desktop app, this website, your licence key and the AI Director service. By buying a key, downloading the app or using the site you agree to them. Questions: support@gameclip.io.

What you buy

GameClip is sold two ways. Both give you a licence key, the only thing the app needs to run.

• GameClip Lifetime is a one-time purchase. It unlocks the full app on one computer. It does not include AI Director credits; you can buy credit packs separately.
• AI Director is a monthly subscription with a 7-day free trial. It unlocks the full app on one computer and includes a monthly allowance of AI Director credits for as long as the subscription is active.

Prices are shown on the site before you pay. Payments, taxes and invoices are handled by Stripe. Sales tax or VAT is added where it applies.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use GameClip on one computer at a time per key, for your own videos, including videos you publish and monetize. You may move a key to a new computer by releasing the old one in your account. You may not share, sell or publish your key, reverse engineer the licence checks, or resell the app.

What you make with GameClip is yours. You are responsible for having the rights to the footage, music and other material you edit and publish, including any rules a game publisher sets for videos of its game.

Online checks

The app checks your key when it starts, every 15 minutes while it is open, and before every analysis and export. AI Director keys need an internet connection for these checks. A Lifetime key can keep working offline for up to 30 days between checks.

AI Director and credits

AI Director sends the transcript text of your session and a few low-resolution frames around candidate moments to our server, which asks Anthropic’s Claude to pick, rank and title highlights. Your audio and video files never leave your computer. See the Privacy Policy.

One credit covers one started hour of gameplay analyzed. The monthly allowance is reset to the plan’s amount on every paid invoice and does not roll over. Credits bought in packs do not expire while your key is valid, and have no cash value. If an analysis fails on our side, its credits are returned automatically.

AI Director’s picks, titles, hooks and descriptions are suggestions generated by an AI model. They can be wrong. Review them before you publish; you decide what goes out.

Cancellation

You can cancel the AI Director trial or subscription at any time in your account. Cancelling ends access to the app immediately and the key stops working on its next check; your projects stay on your computer. If a trial ends without a successful payment, the key is revoked the same way.

Refunds

You can request a refund within 14 days of a payment, in your account, as described in the Refund Policy. A refunded key stops working.

Acceptable use

Don’t use GameClip or AI Director to break the law, to infringe others’ rights, or to attack, overload or probe our servers. We may suspend a key that is shared publicly, used on more computers than allowed, or used to abuse the service, and we will tell you why.

Updates and availability

We fix bugs and improve the app through updates delivered inside the app. We try to keep the licence and AI Director servers available but cannot promise they will never be down. Features may change; we will not remove a core feature from a paid licence without notice.

Warranty and liability

GameClip is provided as is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about GameClip is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will email account holders before they apply.
